One of my favorite unique restaurants in
Toronto would have to be The Black Hoof Restaurant. It is isn’t owned by a
famous chef and it isn’t super fancy, but it is different. Their menu is always
changing and all the food is made in house including the charcuterie. What is
also different are the types of food they carry as every time I walk into the
restaurant my eyes are focused on the chalkboard in the back of the room with
the menu written by some hipster waitress. It features menu items like Bone
marrow, Horse Tartare, and Tongue on Brioche.

I would give the Black Hoof Restaurant two
thumbs up, and maybe even two toes. They are a rather small restaurant and
since they are highly popular they do not take reservations. As I always say, the
restaurant that does not take reservations always have the best food, come-on it’s
always packed. What I mean is, even if there is a wait, I am definitely
suggesting that you should wait and try the food. It’s that good.

Oh also, yes you have probably been
wondering about the prices and all. I’d say the prices are relatively
affordable (it is no McDonald's value meal price, but I am sure you foodies get
it), the portions aren't exactly filling, but treat it like a tasting menu. The
restaurant is very clean, but what I love second to the food is the ambience of
the restaurant, which is cool and hip. Yes, you can be a hipster for a night.
What unique restaurant would you recommend
me to try?
